Sister Angels

Little_Girls_Angels_PNG_Picture

Sister angel,

Though we may not be sisters as on earth,

Never a baby,

An instant creation of birth.

Yet, we share many ways,

And go about our days,

Doing many tasks.

Answering prayers,

As the Father asks.

We watch sisters on earth,

Sisters by birth,

And sisters in Christ, the Son.

He is over all the families, healing,

Blending and mending, until our work is done.

So say a prayer for each sister and brothers too.

For if you believe in His love, you have quite a few.

His peace, Rebecca Jones

I found this gorgeous PNG on a free site, for personal use. These sister angels are cute for spring I had to add a poem.

Angel Dreams

free-pictures-of-angels-145043-9240889.jpg

Angel dreams, rest and dream. What a wonderful place to be, the half asleep, half wake, fews moments and remembering your dreams, and sometimes they have angels, whether real ones or just a message God wants to give you. You may need a pen and paper to write it down.

What I don’t like is not remembering, there may be a reason for that. God may just be giving you strength or you just may not need to know. God never works with fear, other than a healthy respect for His power, and sense enough no to challenge Him, He does understands question, just not unbelief, and sometimes He may not tell you everything, for your own good. The enemy will work in the fearful, the nightmares and night terrors, o it is good to know angels are watching and on guard.

Jacob’s dream of angels going up and down an heavenly ladder or stairs is one that comes to mind Joseph was warned to move Jesus and Mary. And remember Job called the angels he saw in the night, watchers. So if you dream, and dream vivid colors, it can be a glimpse of heaven. The colors are so much more intense.

Once I dreamed of going to my mother’s cousin’s house, it was run down, and really, it was. But I opened a door and there was the prettiest grass and little girls playing, and wearing the most beautiful turn of the century dresses, the pins and blues just popped. Did the dream have any meaning? Was it heaven? Perhaps, she had told me many stories about her mother, and I was writing some of them. The time frame fit or a little earlier. It was just a nice dream.

Other times I have seen dreams with storms, they can be real or spiritual, once I got off the freeway on an exit, I could see the number, something happened that same day, Dreams can be spiritual, have warning , pertain to the future, but you must ask the Holy Spirit to discern and help you to. Not everyone who interprets dreams will be accurate or trustworthy, but He is.

Driving dreams often pertain to ministry, the ones I don’t like are when Jesus tells you something and you can’t remember it, or even an angel. But it may be stored away for later, you can always pray for clarity and He will show you, having the gift of a prayer language is helpful, but His love is so perfect, He wants us to rest and not fear, to not have trouble hearts, I know because I have had one.

Dreams are interesting but you don’t have to stress or obsess over them or even tell them, the young Joseph saw his future in his dreams but didn’t understand them. At that time, people were familiar with astronomy, and used it as a kind of calendar, it was Nimrod who corrupted stargazing into astrology. His family thought he was bragging, and maybe he was a little, he was young and the favorite but it got Him into trouble.

It is alright to rest and to dream, and to have a sanctuary, a secret place to meet the Most High God through Jesus, and hear the Spirit. And you may even have some angel dreams, I hope they are good ones, blessings and His peace as you rest and heal, just know He loves you.

The Seven Angels Of Revelation

Rather than copy Revelation 8, and more for you I will leave the link. Let me remind you that Revelation is hard to understand without some Biblical teaching and a little bit of knowledge about ancient  history. I am not discouraging  your from reading it. You are promised a blessing if you do, I’m simply telling you a lot of people delve into when they should be learning about Jesus first.

Revelation was written by John on the isle of Patmos in about 90 A.D. He was in exile after surviving as the last disciple, torture including boiling in oil. John was an old man who still loved Jesus and he had known the love of Jesus even referring to himself as the disciple Jesus loved. He is likely the one leaning on Jesus in the Last Supper painting, but I can’t state that positively. It may be a younger Mark.

In exile, under Roman rule, he received a series of visions and was told what to write about coming events and the return of Christ. Christ appears with seven candlesticks and has seven stars, each a church in what is now Turkey. He tells them different things and it represents the church ages. It was written in code in order to not be intercepted by the Romans. Stars have been meant as angels in Job, here churches and even pastors. He knew they would understand the symbolism of the coin, while the Romans thought it rambling from an old man even if they read it

While we are not going through the whole book in one post, we are very much in a latter day age, but He will never leave us as promised. And the world will never end as some say, but go through a purging or purification, there will be a new heaven and earth.

For those who understand little, just know that you should ask Jesus in as Lord of your life. I do believe in a Pre-Tribulation Rapture or catching away. The Greek word in 1 Thessalonians 5:17, is harpazo, a violent snatching away, as you would someone about to be be run over or burned, even if you had to grab them by the hair is the implication. I do not believe He will allow Christians to go through this time on earth , though some do.

And some even teach that or that is or has already happened. Not so. So be ready when you think He isn’t coming, He will come as a thief in the night. Like the bridegroom in Jewish tradition, comes for the bride at night. Some people suggest the fall festivals and Rosh Hashanah, the Day of Atonement, as clues given by Jesus in Matthew 24, as the calendar is different, the trumpet can be blown on two days at the new moon, the reason He says you won’t know the day or hour, but He could come anytime. Those days are coming up in September and October, August is Teshuvah a time of repentance, it would be a good time to make sure which side you are on.

As the world in engages in chaos a leader arises that we know s the AntiChrist, he will proclaim  peace and set up a false religion and government, there will be third temple built in Jerusalem. He will not allow Jews waiting for the Messiah to make sacrifices again, the two witness are killed in the streets, who are likely Enoch and Elijah, for they have never died.

Jesus will have to return to stop all this. Seven years to us is not to Him, God lives in eternity and counts time differently. So as for the angels, the first trumpet causes hail and fire, mixed with blood, it sounds like an earthquake. The second, a mountain falls into the sea, a volcano perhaps. The third causes a star to fall, I would think a meteorite.

These first three cause trees and grass to be burned up over a third of the earth, and the sea is polluted and ships and sea creatures destroyed. The water is bitter, Wormwood and polluted. If it is not a meteor, will nuclear weapons play a role, as the world is enraged? The fourth angel’s trumpet brings about the sun and the moon being affected and the stars, it causes darkness, some sot of eclipse perhaps, or more effects of a nuclear war?

The next three angels we hear about to blow their trumpets, the shout is woe, woe, woe. Triple woe. Jesus uses it twice and when He doubles something it is a given, like a double promise, when He heals the woman with the issue of blood and when He raised the daughter of Jairus from the dead, the number twelve is there twice and both are touched by talits.

Let’s look at Jesus’ words, though there are woes in Luke 6, here is woe to cities who are unrepentant……then He began to denounce the cities where most of his mighty works had been done, because they did not repent. “Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. But I tell you, it will be more bearable on the day of judgment for Tyre and Sidon than for you. And you, Capernaum, will you be exalted to heaven? You will be brought down to Hades. For if the mighty works done in you had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day. But I tell you that it will be more tolerable on the day of judgment for the land of Sodom than for you.” Matthew 11:20-24. I would also recommend reading chapter 12. And the other judgements are demons loosed.

I was thinking about this angel that sounds very much like Jesus, as the Angel of the Lord, because of the description, there was also a statue that they would know of, that was the Colossus of Rhodes and that imagery would have been understood in those days like stars in His hand, were minted on coins, to represent king.

People will be tormented and wish they could die, but you can read it all if you like. Just remember, He is closer than ever to coming, and never take that mark.

Say Your Prayers

f451f8bc0435b63c0183ad47a1d0657c

This is a painting by Mary Cassatt, a late 19th century artist to travel to France, was acquainted with with Edward Degas. Though she had never married and no children these are beautiful girls, saying their prayers. Born, May 22, 1844. Allegheny City, Pennsylvania, United States. Died, June 14, 1926 (at age 82) Château de Beaufresne, near Paris, France., and there are several links to her artwork. Her work qualifies as public domain.

Most of her work is of women and children, bath time, reading and even nursing. She began painting at 15, she even moved to Paris and was determined to be an artist. Most were men, and she fought for women’s rights. Her work has also been on stamps

For years children have been taught prayers, and about guardian angels. Here is a common one.

Angels watch me through the night, and wake me with the morning light.

While I don’t actually pray to angels, I do ask Jesus to send them and I know He does, whether or not a person receives or accepts the assistance is another thing. Angels do have a free will, but they have seen the fallen ones. People have free wills to choose to listen for God’s guidance, and while children are young and receptive, the should be taught how much love the Father sends them and angelic protection. God determines when and how angels can communicate with humans. Rebecca Jones

Mary Cassatt

Angel of White

Angel of white,

So pristine and pure.

Lovely lady kneeling in worship,

Delicate and demure.

Lovely and elegant,

Yet powerful and strong.

Lively and excellent,

She worships solemnly in song.

She gives Him praise,

A breath of love, God’s ways.

Knowing it is God, alone.

Who gathers saints and angels,

Singing round the throne.

She praises night and day.

And watches day and night.

The radiance of her gaze, holiest praise.

Illuminating the starlight.

Her brilliance is as the sun,

Reflecting God’s love and light.

Worship Him, along with her,

The angel of white.

His peace, His love,

Breath pure angelic air,

All day and night.

May His love and peace,

Be both pause and release,

Sending angels in white.

Angel With The Senser

Incense had been used for centuries, Moses was instructed to build an altar for incense. Exodus 30:1-10 and it was placed before the veil of the temple. In Numbers 17:13-17, it is used as an offering of thanksgiving. Catholic priests have used it since the Middle Ages, and it is to represent the prayers of the saints. Purification and sanctification, though Jesus does that at salvation. And it is an ongoing process.

Even the gospels mention it and it developed over a period of time and Christian tradition changed over the years.  The Psalmist prays, “Let my prayer come like incense before you; the lifting up of my hands, like the evening sacrifice” Psalm 141.

Revelation describes heavenly worship,  “Another angel came in holding a censer of gold.  He took his place at the altar of incense and was given large amounts of incense to deposit on the altar of gold in front of the throne, together with the prayers of all God’s holy ones.  From the angel’s hand, the smoke of the incense went up before God, and with it the prayers of God’s people” Revelation 8:3-4.

Now, as believers, we must realize that Jesus was our propitiation, our complete sacrifice, once and for all. He literally absorbed our punishment in our place.

But thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumphal procession, and through us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of Him everywhere. For we are the aroma of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing, to one a fragrance from death to death, to the other a fragrance from life to life. Who is sufficient for these things? 2 Corinthians 2:14-16.

Wow, we should smell good to those who want to know Jesus, and well your read it, those who choose to serve death rather than life, They feel the gloom and doom, so sad since Jesus is the Good News. And while many fail into ruin,….. you who fear My name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings, and the Son, Jesus, figuratively, in His arms.

Rebecca Jones

Elijah’s Angel, Jesus.

After having God show His power through him, Elijah was afraid for his life and fled. Here under the broom tree.

“It is enough; now, O LORD, take away my life, for I am no better than my fathers.” And he lay down and slept under a broom tree. And behold, an angel touched him and said to him, “Arise and eat.” And he looked, and behold, there was at his head a cake baked on hot stones and a jar of water. And he ate and drank and lay down again. And the angel of the LORD came again a second time and touched him and said, “Arise and eat, for the journey is too great for you.” And he arose and ate and drank, and went in the strength of that food forty days and forty nights to Horeb, the mount of God. 1 Kings 19:1-8.

Elijah battle Ahab and Jezebel and the false god, Baal. And like we do, he got tired and afraid. He wanted to just give up and die, but the Lord had the angel to feed him and send him on his way.  And this was not only an angel but the Angel of the Lord, possibly Jesus, Himself, in an Old Testament appearance. So, in that case, this angel is not an accurate depiction.

Elijah was a powerful prophet of God, and if he needed help so do we. Jesus is there as our manna from heaven and our bread of life.  He has angel to send or He will come Himself to help us if we need Him.

Musician

Angels play all sorts of instruments and are not limited by any means to harps. Imagine the best concert or symphony you have ever heard and multiply it, ever piece of classical music, piano, violin, and it would pale in comparison the to the beauty of heaven.

However, it does reflect it in many ways. So let’s take a moment to appreciate all the music God has put into our hearts, and all the praise.

The enemy’s loss is our gain, and we rejoice in His name and presence, and make a joyful noise to Him, Psalm 100:1

I will bless the Lord at all times: His praise shall continually be in my mouth. Psalm 34:1

Sing a new song to the LORD! Let the whole earth sing to the LORD! Psalm 96:1

Praise the LORD, you strong and mighty angels, who obey His commands, who listen to what He says. Psalm 103:20 Good News

Ascension Angels

291b3e2b7daa7725c2c64039c3af4f3e

Ascension of Jesus into heaven after being raised from the dead? It brings to mind a more white image between to angels who ask why they are gazing and that He will return right?

Well, that might be more accurate but his one is great as He goes back to heaven in a green robed and surrounded by throngs of angels. Just because there are only two or three mentioned doesn’t mean there wasn’t more.

Angels are innumerable, like the stars, grains of sand, and drop of water in the ocean. But when you need as we often do. One is enough. An angel ministered to Jesus we read, but with all he went through it could have been more.

And only one was need to get Peter out of prison. So if you need one or a a thousand and one, He charges them for you and you are safe and need not fear. Just pray for protection in His name.

Salgado Angel

This is another powerful guardian angel representation. it is by Antonio de Pereda y Salgado. ( 1611-1678) Angels appear in some of his other works, and he did the painting of  Mary being crowned by angels, the Immaculate Conception.

His was from a family of artists and I am including a biographical link. He has paintings in museums and I do like this one to depict the strength of true guardian angels as in Psalm 103. Notice the demonic figure at the right of the painting, we should be able to with angels like carefree children, oblivious to enemy attack, perhaps, we are not there but we will one day realize, He intended nothing to harm us. Luke 10:17, if one  lovely little Victorian guardian can push back a demon, just think what other more powerful ones can do.

It should be a comforting thought to know they are presents, and guarding us and hedging us in.
