More maidens and a muse of sorts, I don’t think it is Pan, as we are not into mythology. For our study we are calling angels that are sent by the Lord, not the mischievous ones that are associated with Cupid and false gods.

I know I promised doves snd and angels but this was so cute when I found it, The Swing by Hans Zatzka. Reproductions are being sold and it is such a lighthearted and joyful painting. While some of his work may be more toward mythology and this may indeed be a Cupid, which we are just claiming to be a cherub with no intentions of mischief.

And thy will be done as well, we should pray the Lord’s pray. It is a very effective one. I found this beautiful old card and had to trim it and fix a few spots but it is wonderful , a lovely lady, angels and a dove. Does it get any better, yes, it does when Jesus comes.

Although Valentine’s Day has passed we are still posing angels this month. They are symbol of peace and of the Holy Spirit. So, for the last few days of the month, I will post some and gels and doves and a verse.

This is a painting by Charles Amable Lenoir. I am calling it a cherub or angel whispering message of love to a lady, I have featured several and though they are perhaps more likely to represent cupid, I am only interested in the artwork and the work of God’s holy angels.
Cupid was more mythological and mischievous and you will even see the false God Pan in them but we’re are blessed to know He has angels working for us and at His command, Psalm 91.

Another maiden and lots of cherubs, some the painter must have really felt the presence of angels or believe that women were muses. Very pretty, and great for Valentine’s Day.

Though this more likely another cupid we are calling them cherubs for our study. God offers His love to everyone and not just at Valentine’s. This is a beautiful card and with a golden colored dress and being offered flowers it is a sweet representation of God’s love.
